We know that sport and recreation are important to our community. There are lots of options for sport and recreation in Forbes which means many different priorities for Council. We need to plan ahead to achieve the best future results for the whole Shire, and to do that we need your help.

Recreation and Open Space Strategy

We have engaged ROSS Planning, who are experts in recreation and open space planning, to develop the Forbes Shire Recreation and Open Space Strategy. The Strategy will provide a vision for the future of sport and recreation within the Forbes Shire.

We have already undertaken some consultation with schools and sporting groups in the Shire. We are very pleased with the responses we have received so far. The Strategy will be a guiding document for the whole Shire moving forward. This is why it is so important for us to capture the thoughts of as many community members as possible.


How to participate
