Council is excited to be continuing the development of the Forbes Homemakers Centre to the advantage of economic opportunity locally and across the region.
The Forbes Homemaker Centre features a large format Bunnings Warehouse, Spotlight, Restaurants and a Service Centre. The expansion of the Forbes Homemaker Centre brings new jobs and new services to Forbes. The Homemaker Centre is conveniently located and accessible from the Newell Highway and offers plenty of free car parking for customers.
Council is seeking feedback from the community to help us choose the name for two (2) roads located at the Forbes Homemakers Centre.
We want you to have your say on this important project! Tell us what you would like the street to be called by choosing a suitable species name/s using the existing sheep theme for the area. Council has an existing protocol for applying sheep breeds in this area due to the Homemakers Centre once being home to the Forbes Midstate Saleyards before the development of the Central West Livestock Exchange. Agriculture is such an important part of the fabric of the Forbes community and Council wishes to continue to honour that. It should be noted that already there are sheep breed named streets in the vicinity – eg Corriedale, Merino and Dorset Street’s
